WHAT IS ALPHA?

Alpha is an 11-week journey through the questions at the heart of human experience. Each week, we gather for a free dinner, watch a short video on a topic related to life and faith, and then break into small groups for open discussion. There are no wrong answers and no silly questions — Alpha is a place where curiosity is welcome.

WHO IS IT FOR?

Alpha is for anyone who's wondered whether there's more to life — whether you've never set foot in a church, walked away from faith years ago, or have been following Jesus for a while and want to go deeper. If you have questions, you belong here.

You might be:

  • Curious about Christianity but not sure where to start

  • Skeptical and looking for honest answers

  • Someone returning to faith after a long break

  • A follower of Jesus wanting to revisit the foundations

  • Just looking for a good meal and a real conversation

WHAT HAPPENS EACH WEEK?

Every Tuesday night, we gather as part of Transformation Tuesdays — TVC's mid-week community. Here's what to expect:

Dinner — We start together around the table. Dinner is free, and childcare is provided.

Teaching — A short, engaging video explores a question about life, meaning, or faith.

Discussion — In small groups, we talk about what we heard. Every perspective is welcome.

WHEN DOES ALPHA RUN?

We offer Alpha twice a year:

  • Spring semester — Beginning the first Tuesday in March

  • Fall semester — Beginning the first Tuesday in September

Each semester runs for 11 weeks.
