A PLACE OF LOVE AND TRANSFORMATION

The Hope Center exists to be a place where people encounter Jesus’ love and transforming power in their lives while meeting basic needs and offering long term solutions to empower people towards a more stable future.

The Food Pantry

Our Drive-Thru Food Pantry is open to serve our community 10am-12pm or 5-6pm every Wednesday.

VOLUNTEER

The Little Free Food Pantry

We know that everyone may not be able to make it to the drive-through food pantry during our regular hours. In order to extend our reach and impact more people, we created the Little Free Food Pantry, located in front of our Hope Center building, open 24/7. The idea is simple: "Take what you need, give what you can. All will be blessed."

VOLUNTEER AT THE FOOD PANTRY

We have 5 serving opportunities at the Food Pantry! Select the day you are interested in volunteering to learn more about what each day and service opportunity looks like at the Food Pantry.

  • The team meets 4:45pm-6:30pm.

We prepare one of the bags that we give out. This bag contains our non-perishable food items such as canned foods, dried goods and nuts.

  • The team meets 9:00-11:30.

We receive bread, dessert and produce deliveries which we sort and put away in preparation for Wednesday’s distributions. We also prepare another bag of shelf-stable foods and household items.

  • The team meets from 9:30am-12:30pm.

We meet at 9:30 to prepare for the distribution that runs from 10-12. We have multiple tasks to do that day: recording client information, loading vehicles, loading grocery carts (inside), offering choice items and prayer. At the end we bring everything inside and gather to pray for one another. If you’re available after 12, we also get another delivery from the Food Bank at 1:00 to be sorted and put away.

  • The team meets from 4:00pm-6:30pm.

We prepare for our Door Dash deliveries at 4 pm by putting together boxes of food and loading the delivery drivers’ cars. We then begin preparing for the evening distribution from 5-6pm. Please come when you can after 4:00pm. The jobs are the same as the morning distribution: recording client information, loading vehicles, loading grocery carts (inside), offering choice items and prayer. At the end we bring everything inside and gather to pray for one another.

  • The team meets from 9:00-12:30.

We receive our bigger shipments from the Food Bank on this day, including our government assigned foods such as frozen meats, canned goods and other food items. This team organizes and puts these items in locations for our teams to pull from as needed. We also receive a bread and dessert donation that we put away and load the choice-item carts for the following Wednesday.
