ELECTROCUTION

ELECTROCUTION LEADS TO LIFE

WEATHER REPORT: There's a wind a-blowin' all a-cross the land | A fragrant breeze of heaven blowin' once again | Don't know where it comes from, don't know where it goes | But let it flow over me.

“I SHALL DIE IF THESE WAVES CONTINUE TO PASS OVER ME.”

Kathy Chrasta Sept. 14th, 2024

When asked to summarize the summer at TVC, Kathy in full confidence said, "Electrocution Leads to Life." Never a truer statement has been shared. Read Kathy's beautiful and provoking article: Electrocution Leads to Life. "We have this historical account as a precedent for the enormous sense of power surging through many of our bodies. Imagine being crowded up against the doors of a subway car rumbling through the tunnels tumbling over to one another and totally unable to open the doors to get out. From "What is the World is Happening to us?" by Bill Jackson. "Charles Finney: … the Holy Ghost descended on me in a manner that seemed to go through me, body and soul. I could feel the impression like a wave of electricity going through and through me. Indeed it seemed to come in waves and waves of liquid love; for I could not express it in any other way. (It seemed like the very breath of God. I can recollect distinctly that it seemed to fan me, like immense wings. No words can express the wonderful love that was shed abroad in my heart. I wept aloud with joy and love; and I do not know but I should say, I literally bellowed out the unutterable gushings of my heart.) The waves came over me, and over me, one after the other until I recollect I cried out, "I shall die if these waves continue to pass over me." I said, "Lord I cannot bear any more; yet I had no fear of death."

Deposits & Whirlpools. RISK IS SPELLED O-B-E-D-I-E-N-C-E | TVC Staff | An invitation to risk via obedience

Two Charles Finney quotes in one 'Revival Times' checks out. Charles Finney was quoted as defining revival as: "Revival is nothing more than a fresh obedience to God." I believe in the last summer, we have been invited to yes, have faith int he Lord and that faith is spelled, R-I-S-K. I believe the risk is spelt O-B-E-D-I-E-N-C-E. No matter how obvious, intimate, intimidating, or seemingly ignorant, obedience to Jesus will be a hallmark in what the Lord is inviting us into. Again, we must not look at what we have gained, but what we have lost to gain, sacrifice and Sabbath. What will you lay at His feet? And if he asked of you, He will provide all you need. Your obedience is permission for others to obey. So happy risking, happy failing, and happy obeying. Do it in us God. Let our hearts be the ones, eating first. Setting the table and inviting others into a beautiful fresh obedience to you. A Revival of Obedience has begun.
