TVC YTH LEADERSHIP FAQ

  • Samuel and Keirstyn Worden have resigned from our staff. After a season of prayer, counsel, and evaluation regarding areas of character and integrity, specifically around speech, leadership health, and relational dynamics, it became evident that removing the pressures of pastoring and leadership would provide the best path forward to see health and wholeness for all involved. We invited them into a formation and healing plan, and they declined that option.

  • There was no sexual misconduct, illegal activity, or situation in which students were in physical danger. The student’s safety and well-being remain one of our highest priorities, and we do not take the trust of our families lightly.

  • We recognize that people may experience a wide range of emotions throughout this season, including grief, confusion, anger, sadness, disappointment, relief, and mixed emotions that can be difficult to process. Our desire is to create safe and healthy spaces where people can respond honestly while also protecting unity and relational health within our church community. We are committed to listening well, avoiding defensiveness, and walking with people patiently and pastorally through this process. This is not a situation we are trying to move through quickly or quietly; we want to navigate it faithfully and with care.

  • Caring for those impacted is a central priority during this season. We recognize that leadership challenges affect individuals, families, students, teams, ministry culture, and emotional and spiritual health. Because of this, support may include pastoral care conversations, counseling referrals, spiritual direction, inner healing resources, and ongoing follow-up and care. Our desire is to help people feel seen, heard, supported, and protected as healing takes place over time.

  • We’re currently developing our summer plans while also taking a deeper look at the future of TVC YTH as a whole. Our team is working on a more intentional and comprehensive vision for where we’re headed and how we can best serve and disciple students in the seasons ahead.
