THE GREATEST IS LOVE
He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in season and its leaf does not wither. In all things he does, he prospers. And being planted by streams of water.
We pray from a place of love is what we should be praying for, not for what we want, but loving the people. And it really impacted me that that's how I need to pray for my daughter. I have an adult daughter that's only 32, and she was raised to love the Lord, baptize, give her life, and live to Christ. I walked away at the age of 18 and been praying for 14 years. So I started changing the way I prayed for her. Okay, you love her more than I do. So you call her however you need. And I just want her to know you. -Tracy Cox
TAKE ANOTHER DRINK
I remember being hungry for more of God. For a few months I had felt dry like what I was doing wasn't enough and I was asking God to give me a deep desire for Him. I was helping Jon with worship at Summer Midsize on most Mondays. This particular night I was sitting in the tech booth in the chapel and I heard the Lord say "fast for three days and I'll give you more hunger." -Ethan Robeson (before July 9th, 2024 staff prayer meeting)
KADESH-BARNEA
Randy Clark and the Global Awakening Team celebrated 25 years of Global Awakening with a beautiful and power-filled reunion of Happy and Randy.
There were plenty of power things "HAPpening." From elevator explosions (in the spirit lol) To high fives that lead to FT's (floor times). God was making His point known. THIS IS NOT JUST FOR YOU.
As old friends chatted about the former glories the new stories of our house were told. Tears filled the room as the stories were told of how God has met not only our house but also the revival being experienced in the Texas town of Corpus Christi, the home of Texas A&M and New Life Church led by Pastor Mike Fehlauer. They have seen 6,000 baptisms in 6 years and thousands of salvations since. The stories of portable tanks and lives forever changed stirred fresh passion in the TVC Crew present.
FIRE CULTIVATION
We have grown in trust. Trusting first and foremost, God to be God and do God-sized things. He needs no, manipulation to move nor prodding to provide. Who he has been we will always be. The God who revives is still reviving. The who heals is still healing. The God who creates is still creating. We have grown in our trust in God.
"Everyone gets to play" is a trademark of our movement and in our own house this statement has never been more true. From the camera work of John Cicioria, the kitchen crew, the plans, the setlists and singers, the production), the flag bearer, the hospitality, the care, the bartenders (in all the senses lol) to the preachers, the teachers, the catchers, the dreamers, to the "T'll have another drinkers" the body of Christ in fullness.
We are a team growing in trust. Way to go team.
PROPHESY TO THE REGION
God's pouring back in at the same time that you are pouring out. It's not a one-way river. Jon Hutch: I saw you both forging this path as your younger selves. Having an absolute blast. The Lord is restoring the strength of your youth in this season. Important to give him the burden daily. The Lord is giving you the gift to operate in your youth in this season. I see the thousands already impacted by your yes being multiplied. As four of them (Julie, Mike, Hap, Di) together, as the move of the spirit continues to move things forward we bless them and we give the weight of the glory of God to him.
We thank you for the stewardship of the way they stewarded the spirit of God so many years ago into the present. We thank you Lord for the partnership.
FEED THE COMMUNITY
The Hope Center is our first fruit in this season. "We have broken records - like by 20 and 40 families a week the last three weeks in a row. September 18: 458 families, September 25 - 478 families, October 2 - 515 families
To put this in context, we'd never served more than 400 families at all until June 26 of this year. Our average families served in 2023 was 244/week." Marti Pearson
We have a community that is hungry. The numbers are staggering.
HARVEST SEASON
The Bible has a great emphasis on remembrance. 237 times the Bible speaks about this theme and the importance of keeping the faithfulness of God before us. Micah 3:16 "Then those who feared the Lord spoke with one another. The Lord paid attention and heard them, and a book of remembrance was written before him of those who feared the Lord and esteemed his name."
What God has done here is something to be remembered. This week in the staff prayer the team took time to remember by recounting the outpouring as we have experienced thus far.
ARTESIAN WELL
"I just keep seeing this image, like a fountain, but it's like, it's like a cute image, you know, like, the fountain is bubbling up and there's water coming out of it, but we could like step on the end like an opening, right? And we could actually suppress the waters, but I felt like the Lord is saying, I am turning the fountain into a geyser where the water is explosive coming out of the opening and you couldn't plug it, you couldn't contain it, you couldn't stop the eruption of water from coming out if you wanted. I just sense that He was saying, like, there's nothing that can stop what I'm about to do. Like, the pressure cannot be contained." Cassie Shaffer
ELECTROCUTION
Read Kathy's beautiful and provoking article: Electrocution Leads to Life. "We have this historical account as a precedent for the enormous sense of power surging through many of our bodies. Imagine being crowded up against the doors of a subway car rumbling through the tunnels tumbling over to one another and totally unable to open the doors to get out. From "What is the World is Happening to us?" by Bill Jackson. "Charles Finney: … the Holy Ghost descended on me in a manner that seemed to go through me, body and soul. I could feel the impression like a wave of electricity going through and through me. Indeed it seemed to come in waves and waves of liquid love; for I could not express it in any other way.
GRAND OPENING
I believe we will see a WAVE of new believers hungry and hurting. The church doors will be like the grand opening of a PRESCHOOL. We will need teachers yes, but far greater mothers and fathers. I see these mothers and fathers hand in hand walking these new children to the water. The water is electric, charged with power not to save no but the power to break; sickness, disease, infirmity, mental illness, addiction, and confusion. A year of incomparable glory, incomparable numbers but we must not look to what we have done to gain but what we have lost to gain. Sacrifice and Sabbath. Sacrifice and Sabbath, will be our rhythm. If you do more in five years than in one, how much will you do at 50? I see flipped binoculars looking from year 50 to 46… we will be shocked. In a good way. It's incomparable so don't be surprised if it's a butterfly.
THRIVE IN ADVERSITY
who opened my eyes to what was going on, that I was in the middle of transformation right at that moment, choosing to be around the team, instead of isolation. "I WILL THRIVE ON ADVERSITY." That phrase- it's cute to say it. But when it comes right down to it, that's a tough thing to live out. But it's exactly the kind of challenge I need in this season. I've been on a personal journey for a few years now, something I rarely talk about, and if I do, it's usually only in little pieces, and privately.
